We all need a pick-me-up from time to time. I've spent a good six months now scrimping and saving in some kind of attempt to live a more minimalist lifestyle (PAH! Me? Minimalist? I don't think so!). Despite my best efforts, it's not possible to stop spending altogether and I personally think it's better to buy clothes you absolutely love (like this amazing gingham trench coat) than waste your money every time you get the urge to go on a spree. But I think we can all agree that it's definitely not easy to find the money to buy the best quality clothes all the time.

With this in mind, I recently had my very first shopping experience with Klarna. You might have seen it pop up when you've been online shopping and reached the check out, but for those who don't know, Klarna is an online payment company that allows you to buy amazing pieces online and pay for them up to 30 days later. This set up is perfect if you're anything like me and can't wait until pay day to shop! Plus, it gives you the opportunity to buy the clothes you want and try them on at home without having to shell out the money and then wait for your refund if you do decide to send them back. I'm a big online shopper because I can barely face busy, busy Oxford Street, so I was super happy to discover that paying with Klarna is pretty much like having your own personal changing room at home.

I was given the task of buying an outfit inspired by Klarna's branding, so I went on a bit of a Topshop spree and got this pretty pink teddy bear coat, a pastel pink top and this beautiful tapestry dress. The brand imagery features some cute pastel pink and green colours, so the outfit seemed like the perfect fit and the beautiful Chalk Farm backdrop works perfectly. I'm usually spotted wearing black so it felt pretty weird to be in all-out pink, but it's good to get out of your style comfort zone and I can already tell this coat is going to be my winter staple. I'm literally always cold, but this one is the warmest coat I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. I reckon it would look good over a punkier outfit too, so I don't have to feel super girly 24/7. Winter dressing and I do not get along most of the time, but this year I'm going to make a real effort to look good and feel good for my own sanity, so if you've got any cold weather styling tips then please do send them my way!

Till' next time.
