If you know me, you'll know I love a spa weekend. There's nothing better than lazing by the pool, soaking up the heat of the sauna or even indulging in a luxurious massage. I'm lucky enough to be able to make regular spa visits due to my job (and lord knows I make the most of it!), so this time I thought I'd share my experience with you.

My latest weekend away saw me venture to the incredible Bodysgallen Hall & Spa. Situated in the Welsh town of Llandudno, the hotel is a Grade I listed house surrounded by 200 acres of stunning gardens and with stunning views of the Snowdonia mountain range and Conwy castle. There are 15 rooms, each full of character, along with a 3 AA Rosette rated restaurant and of course the spa.

If you're looking for pure relaxation, Bodysgallen is ideal. I'm so used to the crazy pace of London, but here you can really get away from it all, whether it's catching up on sleep, exploring the gardens or making the most of the spa. The swimming pool is quiet so you have plenty of space to make a splash and there's a sauna, steam room and gym too. The obligatory robe and slippers are provided to give you the real spa experience too.

Highlights: The location is dreamy and everything is of the highest quality, from the shortbread biscuits provided in the rooms, to the Darphin products used in the spa treatments.

I tried the Rebalancing Massage during my stay, which is pricey at £60 for 60 minutes. But then again, no massages come without a price tag.

Watch out: One thing that surprised me was that kettles weren't provided in the rooms. As a coffee addict, I was left dying for my caffeine fix during my stay. And while you can buy coffee from the hotel, it will set you back a staggering £11 for two!

Price: There's no denying that Bodysgallen Hall is pretty pricey. A double room will set you back £179 for the night, dinner in the restaurant is £43 for two courses and spa treatments range from £15 - £90.

Verdict: The hotel will leave you relaxed and pampered, but be prepared to pay big bucks for the pleasure!
