Review: UFit Protein shakes

Over the past two weeks, I've been incorporating UFit protein shakes into my diet. I've had them after every workout and occasionally when I'm feeling hungry and need something healthy and quick to fill me up. As you may have read, I spoke to Heather at Protein Chef about why we need protein in our diets and this definitely spurred me on to try them out.

The great thing about protein shakes is that they're easy. When I want to snack on something nutritious I occasionally struggle with what to eat, meaning that sometimes I overindulge or don't eat at all. While I tried these out, one of the best things about it was having something that I could pick up on the go without having to think too much. I knew I was getting something nutritious with the added bonus of aiding my muscles after a workout, whereas most of the time I'm stumbling around the supermarket trying to find something that's both affordable and good for me.

Obviously two weeks isn't really long enough to notice a change in my body, but I have no doubt that with regular exercise and a healthy diet UFit drinks would benefit me. I recently decided to start clearing up my diet and a few months ago I started eating more protein in general. I've since noticed an improvement in my skin, hair and nails, and I'm sure protein shakes will only aid this. Before embarking on my trial I did have my reservations about the sugar content, but Heather assured me that the drinks don't contain any added sugar. I'm still not 100% convinced that the sugar content is entirely healthy, but as long as I'm not scoffing chocolate and sweets I'm sure the benefits can outweigh the negatives. I plan to continue along my diet and fitness journey with a little help from UFit along the way!

This will be my last blog post for a while as tomorrow I'm heading off to the GI Jane Bootcamp in Kent for an entire week! I'm absolutely terrified as it's going to be A LOT of hard work, but I can't wait to tell you all about it when I get back.

  1. I know! My biggest problem was that I didn't like to eat in the morning. I could drink water or juice all morning, but to eat, protein shake blenders
